O’Rourke Competes in the Hunger Games

Houston, TX – For the third consecutive year, O’Rourke participated in the Hunger Games competition through the Houston Food Bank. The Houston Food Bank's Hunger Game is a three-week competition in which groups of all sizes compete against each other to fight hunger in our community. Groups compete to generate the most points by donating food, raising money and volunteeering at the Houston Food Bank.

We are ecstatic to announce that out of 14 companies, O'Rourke finished in 1st place! We were able to exceed our donation goal of $7,500 and raise a whopping $13,533 while contributing 539 pounds of food and over 210 volunteer hours. Combined, our money, food, and hours volunteered equated to 44,396 meals for food insecure families throughout southeast Texas.

Most important than the competition though, was the impact our efforts have on our community. None of this could have been done without the help and support of our committed employees. We cannot thank our amazing employees enough.
